ForceX Agile Workshop Design

The purpose of the Agile workshop is to train employees on a new way of developing software. The goal of training different teams on these development techniques is to get the entire company on the same page when it comes to how work is produced. I was told to make it fun. I agreed. It should be fun.

I’m thinking, “Yeah, no problem. A 25 slide presentation for a workshop training devs won’t take me long and I can make it kinda cohesive, fun, and personalized.”

(*150 slides later*)

I’m really grateful for what I learned on this project. I sort of took a gamble by not following a strict template on this one, but I think it paid off because a lot of the feedback I got was, “I loved seeing so-and-so’s face” and “I like that you used employee pictures.” This is part of the reason why I design: to help connect other people and make them feel seen, heard, and known.

So slides did keep getting added. Absolutely no problem at all because I loved working on this project every second. I got to really do what I wanted with each of these slides. I wanted to utilize the employees of my company to add a really personal touch to those who would see this slide deck. No better way to connect with new information than by seeing familiar faces on the screen.

I understand I went buck-wild with colors, but a.) I hate templates and b.) corporate powerpoints rarely get to be fun. Given that I can’t create anything in Photoshop without some sort of texture overlayed on top (it can sometimes be a fault, I understand), I decided to give it a little noise and halftone texture to give it that little special something.
