Where am I?

What would it be like to be Mario if it wasn't a game? He wakes up in a strange world. As he ventures into the depths of this vast, dangerous forest he slowly realizes what all this world has to offer. Lighter gravity, the ability to breath under water, plants that effect your physiology, giant bugs, carnivorous plants, etc. Would be cray cray.

The process for these was fun. I sketched out a few scenes from my head and then illustrated exactly what I sketched. No looking at reference and no straying from the sketch (much).

I like how it turned out but i'm not sure what the squid thing is? Not really based off of anything in the games, lol. There are, however, ants in Super Mario 3D World, so that one works ;)

Hope to play around with this idea some more. Keeping it organic.
