CindaLab

The Laboratory is a space for research and debate around two main themes: one open city of science and innovation. Open science is a movement that opens or opens access to scientific publications, open scientific data or open scientific software and hardware and citizen science, that is, the contribution of scientists not to the advancement of knowledge. Citizen innovation encompasses initiatives, projects and experiences that come from society and contribute to solutions of social and environmental interest.

We are an academic space, which proposes to contribute to processes of social change that alter the knowledge-power relations. Our differential is to work with agendas and questions frontier, not meaning science or advanced technologies, but new inclusive issues, approaches and methodologies. Sustainability agendas stand out socio-environmental.

The main values of the laboratory are the co-production of knowledge and the encounter in difference, experimentation with alternatives, dialogue between different actors and types of knowledge – scientific, citizen, traditional populations – recognizing the relevance and complementarity of the contributions of each one, with their specificities.
