Published Hardback Cookbook

A growing architecture practice in Glasgow were looking to tangibly display their rich company culture and diversity of their staff in a way which, when pitching for work, would set them apart from other practices.

The solution was a perfect bound, litho printed cookbook, with details found in high quality publications, which when gifted to clients served as a functional and memorable keepsake of their visit to the practice's studio.

Working with the practice director and another commissioned graphic designer, I led the project organisationally as well as contributing to the photography and design.  The process required local knowledge to find the right bookmaker, my photography skills and my fluency in InDesign.

While aggregating all of the cookbook's contents and information from the practice was a challenge (priority lay in delivering architectural projects over sharing their curry recipes with me) the sense of achievement in completing my first hardback publication was a driving motivator to get the project over the finish line.

The book, already a Scottish Design Awards winner, has been a glowing success both internally and with friends of the studio, and is already looking to be re-printed.
