I decided to create an app that brings to the table some of the methods of how i learned theories. I decided that it needs to replicate my method of learning, but digitally. This concept of replicating our method of learning but using digital tools is called Building A Second Brain, introduced by Tiago Forte. I decided to create a second brain for concepts and theories that i learned in the Apple Developer Academy through texts and drawings that i can input freely, just like how I created manual notes and flashcards back in my school days.

For that reason, I developed Flashly, an iPadOS app that helps support the way of learning by giving me a visual and interactive way to learn according to my learning style by using flashcards that I can input and knowing how many times I’m correct or incorrect when I tested it.

My professional path on Apple Developer Academy is Product Designer, so I have some goals to use designer tools that I have never used, such as using ProtoPie for prototyping and practicing to familiarize myself using Figma’s autolayout feature. I don’t really have a goal on the Coding side, but I really wanted to code the app until the Interface and core functions are at least shown. Also, I explored the coding side by using SwiftUI and PencilKit framework.
