Tokyo Illustrator's Society CMS icons

A bit back AQ held a series of workshops and interviews to refresh the design for Japan's prestigious association for illustrators, Tokyo Illustrator's Society.

While a new, flexible design was paramount – one of the biggest challenges was an easy-to-use content management system for Illustrator's who have lived, and been creating, through most of their lives without the help of computers.

Normal iconography indicative of early web users didn't have the same effect, so I went about creating a small icon set that illustrated content actions almost literally.

You can check out more about the project on our case study.
