Bob Holland for MIT Sloan

For his retirement, the MIT Sloan team decided to give this gift to their managing director, Bob Holland.

My illustrative style tends to be provocative, with this illustration though I wanted the colors to be also somewhat soothing, or dreamy. Since it's like a goodbye gift, I wanted a feeling of reflection, calmness, and depth to show when looking at the visual.

I didn't have a lot of picture references for him, but I think I did a good job catching his character. What do you think?
