How to Combine Different Styles in one Illustration

The task was to create some illustrations for a beach resort and since the moodboard had 3d and vector styles proposals I thought about merging both of them, use gradient vectors for the background and then I layered them mixing some 3d modeled details.

For the icons I went for a playfull and fun 3d style, since it was my first time working with specular materials for the water I played around with mix materials and layers to create this jelly like effect that I really liked
