Al Qasr Ayni's clock tower

This is an illustration I made of Al Qasr Al Ayni’s well-known clock tower. 

Whenever I and my friends lost one another in its vast space, we would agree to meet there. 

My friend Sherry would park her car there because she couldn’t find any better spot. I mean that literally.

This is a place where I made the extremes of happy and terrible memories, I got closer to amazing friends and learned so much from terrific seniors. It’s a place where I parted ways with people who meant a lot to me back then. 

I remember younger anxious me attending my first section ever there, trying to keep track of everything as It was too much, treating people I had no idea existed, and getting overwhelmed by how sad life is but still things need to get done. YOU HAVE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE! 

This place evokes too many emotions in me because It’s too real, more real than anywhere I’ve ever been. 

It’s a love-hate relationship and I choose to keep both bothering and delightful moments in my heart and my mind.
