American Audio Theater Logo Design

American Audio Theater produces and distributes dramatized audio recordings of significant works of literature to serve as curriculum supplements for educators. The stories, including classic tales from Charles Dickens and Edgar Allen Poe, are adapted to a radio theater style and feature the voices of award-winning actors.

American Audio Theater wanted to enhance its presence and increase its resonance within the education industry. As part of this endeavor, they asked me to develop a distinct logo. This design draws on the history and technology of recorded audio, evoking the grooves of vinyl records, microphone and antique radio grilles, and today’s digital audio iconography, as well as the seating plan of a theater.
