CleanRL is our open-source software project. Clean means our code base is clean and organized. RL means reinforcement learning, a type of artificial intelligence algorithm that trains AI agents to play video games.

CleanRL is a deep reinforcement learning library that trains autonomous agents 🤖 to learn to play games such as SpaceInvaders 🎮. CleanRL let an AI agent explore the game and give rewards to the agent if they perform well in the game. By repeating trial and error and AI algorithms, our agent could then learn to play a game from scratch. CleanRL offers a codebase that is easy to use and customize, a collection of interactive tracked experiments and tools to help run experiments in the cloud providers such as AWS.
