Design Challenge – Pinned Favorite Shows/Movies – Hulu

This is a design challenge to add a new feature to the Hulu app. This what I imagined the brief from the stakeholder would be: “Our research shows that users watch a large variety of content but they also will go back and watch the same shows repeatedly. Create a feature that would allow users to quickly access that content within a click or two”.

After doing user research during the discover part of the process, I came up with a feature that would allow users to pin a handful of their favorite shows/movies for easier access. When creating a digital product it’s important to lessen the cognitive load of the user as much as possible because if they feel it’s effortless to engage with the product then they will be more likely to keep using the app for longer.
