User Research

People usually do not know the compostion of each nutrient present in their raw foods which has led to taking an assumed amount. However, it is necessary to be accurate so as to achieve the best healthy status possible.

User’s Need

We all need to watch what we eat, unfortunately, this is not true amongst us as most of us eat however we can. This has led to some people getting prescriptions from doctors on what to eat in order to be healthy and some simply just trying to eat healthy.

Ideation

It then popped that what if users has an assistive technology that tells them the composition of the nutrients in grams in any food they are about to cook through the help of a powerful AI and robust nutrition database.

I thought to design an app that tells people the exact composition of the nutrients present in any food that wants to be eaten. The method to achieve this is simple, with the help of a powerful AI, all the user has to do is peel the food (if need be) and place it in a plain plate, take a picture. and leave the rest to the AI. Simple and straightforward.

Prototype

Low-fi and Hi-fi designs of the onboarding screens were designed to give an idea of what the Nutrify application is to assist the users with.
