WIP - Clothing Designer Logo

Working out a concept I came up with for a potential client that stopped communicating. Figured I'd try and see it through for the experience. The client designs affordable couture clothing with an African inspired style. She wanted a mark with the letters T and C, the name below and possibly a slogan on some of the products.

While researching the client I noticed she had strong religious beliefs. Being located in the UK, I came up with the idea to combine the letters t and c to create a loosely symbolized Celtic cross (sun cross, whatever), but in a hand painted style that matched the African prints on some of her fabrics.

Looking for feedback on initial thoughts and feelings when viewed, whether it's overly religious and if the type works with the mark.
