Cartoon Ball Bounce

Something I have seen a lot in reels sent to me recently is strange animated bouncing.

This very quick example illustrates how you cannot just create a path for the ball to bounce along and try to animate the velocity of the ball along that path.

You need to split the dimensions of the motion into X and Y axis. While the vertical Y supplies the 'bounce', the X should carry on or attenuate gradually.

I have included a file for reference.

NB. This is a cartoonish bounce. More natural feel can be created using a logarithmic attenuation.
