Boudicca

Illustration for 'KAVN', a zine about five women from herstory who fought against oppression. This issue dealt with battling colonialism, rape culture and the 'red-haired woman' as a symbol.

This image is an integrated illustration of Boudicca, Warrior Queen of the Iceni tribe famously riding into flaming battle on her chariot.

Other women featured in the zine are: Yaa Asentewaa, Mekatilili Wa Menza, Phoolan Devi and Lilith.
