Coming soon: Training. Have 30 seconds to spare? Help us choose our first course!
First of all: I’m excited to get started on Dribbble! I really enjoyed being a lurker on this community for the last few months, and I’m happy to finally be able to get more involved.
My debut is a personal project: an icon for my art-blog Bleaq. Besides a website Bleaq is active on various social media platforms, and I wanted to create an icon I could use as an avatar on those websites and thus become recognizable.
What I needed the icon to do:
Work well in a small size;
Work well with the logo type;
Stand-out from the logo’s of similar themed blogs;
Be something I’d like myself (don’t underestimate this one!).
People often say you are your hardest client, and I think I can agree with that :) It took me ages (and hundreds of sketches, drawings and doodles) to come to this result. In the end I’m really happy about how it worked out, the icon looks great as a profile picture, and is very versatile in use.
