Responsive Components in Illustrator

This is why I've been loving using Illustrator recently for UI design. Creating responsive components like this in Photoshop is not really feasible, unless you create a new psd with a smaller canvas and then resize everything. You could sort of do this in Sketch, but there is no direct select tool for grabbing pieces of elements.

I've been doing full designs on artboards in Illustrator and then responsive components off to the side. It's been a great process for this project and for showing the dev team what's going on at content-driven break points.
