Alone

The start of the year came with a gut punch which pushed me over the edge. Luckily, I started going to therapy, which helped find one of the emotions I was dealing with. Because I was raised to believe that showing emotions is wrong and I should just bottle up everything I feel, it was difficult for me to use words to explain it.

But I was able to draw it and identify it so I could work on it.

This image speaks about how lonely I was feeling even if I was surrounded by my loved ones and I was having a nice workplace. I felt like I wasn't able to talk to anyone about what I was going through, I felt like if I shared what was happening to me that my world and "safety" would crumble.

Nevertheless, I would like to encourage people to speak out about what they are going through because there will always be someone who listens to you. And you never know what hidden power may lie within you.
