SocialGrapes Event View, Wireframe and Render Comparison

Here's a wireframe and render comparison of a check-in event's detail view for the now-defunct SocialGrapes iOS mobile app. SocialGrapes was a wine-based social network where users can check in the wines they drink and get recommendations based on their check-ins.

At the time of the app's design, especially for this view, I was heavily inspired by Foursquare and Gowalla.

This iteration of the render didn't include tagging and sharing, which had its advantages. It gave me room to reveal the commenting UI instead of hiding it behind a button as suggested in the wireframe.
