Illustration: character design + illustration

Series of illustrations for a client.

Briefing: "Create my family, each character and each animal. I will make a change-of-address card with this. To be included: both houses, the whole family and our animals."

Since the card would be designed in a very wide landscape lay-out, I decided to let everyone 'walk from their old house to their new house'.
Each character of the family is carefully portrayed in the illustration, including the animal's characters.
For instance: the middle daughter walks in front of the crew, since she has a personality of being very enthusiastic, hands-on and a big example for her little sister.
Mother walks behind, looking back at the home, since it holds so many memories and it's a big step to move out.
Oldest daughter has her own photography company, so 'of course' she would be taking some snap shots of the situation.
Father is the only man within this family, the big provider and sometimes stays a little on the background.
The little dog is eager to help, as well as the horses.

The final card is currently being printed! As soon as the end result is delivered, I'll definitely post a photo for you!
