Families First Board Packet

Families First (familiesfirst.org) is Georgia's largest family and children's services organization. They work to improve outcomes for youth at every stage of life by providing them with mental health support, mentorship, early education, and supportive housing and strengthening families no matter what challenges they may be facing. They recently contacted me to help them create a Board Member Welcome Packet. Previously, they had a wide range of documents that had all been created at different times and with very different visual approaches. I worked with their Executive and Communications teams to create a new document that included all the previous material as well - as some new ones - that were all contained in one, cohesive document that carried the Families First branding, consistently, throughout every page. The packet includes a welcome letter, history of the organization and in-depth information on the organization's programs and efficacy. Additionally, we've included two calendars: one of the major fundraising events and one of the board and committee meetings. In the back of the packet is a section containing short bios of each board member along with how to contact them and the organization's bylaws. This new document was also designed so that each year, only a minor portion of it would need to be updated, keeping it cost effective to maintain. Families First now has a beautifully branded and thoughtful packet to give each new board member. This works to familiarize them with their new role and the organization as a whole in a positive and consistent way, in an easy to read packet.
