Making Peace

The concept for this illustration was to illustrate the article “How to make peace with the world's deadliest bears” written by Gloria Dickie. I aimed at depicting a sloth bear aesthetically, as a beautiful creature. Sloth bears are considered vulnerable animals. They are threatened by habitat loss and are sometimes captured for use in performances or hunted because of their aggressive behavior. I use illustration as a medium to add beauty to the wonderfully written article that talks about the plight and miscommunication amongst the bears and the rural population.
