milk products and translation difficulties

In Russia, there are many different sour-milk products made from cream and milk, which are not translated into English. I am very fond of such product as "varenez", a fermented milk drink made from melted cow's milk (ryazhenka), using sour cream as a starter. This product has a pleasant beige and cream color and thick consistency.
