๐ŸŒ™ Melinda and the Night Sky ๐ŸŒ™ Say What You Mean

The โ€œSay What You Meanโ€ Single Cover artwork for Melinda and the Night Sky, released officially on 9/4/2020ย โ€“ be sure to listen!

First off, I love research. I love themes. I love a good subliminal message, and an obvious one, too. Once in awhile I get to work on a project where the client says โ€œlisten to the song and based on whatever inspiration takes you, create artโ€ ๐Ÿ˜. Now sometimes thatโ€™s super difficult, but when it comes to music, thatโ€™s my sweet spot.

Listening to โ€œSay What You Meanโ€ I picked up on keywords plus the feeling and vibes I was getting. Hearing how the words sounded in pictures, yaโ€™ know? I felt the need for trust, the no lies, the honesty, and though it wasnโ€™t outright spoken โ€“ โ€œsay no evil, speak no evil, hear no evilโ€ was one of the first visual concepts that shot into my eyes. Just say what you mean! ๐Ÿ˜

I illustrated White Chrysanthemums โ€“ which symbolize truth, loyal love. Daffodils for new beginnings and rebirth โ€“ strong, resilient. A snake โ€“ you know, lies, sneaky, Say What You Mean! The Sun โ€“ truth! And other little symbols.
