In & Out Basketball

The In & Out Basketball brand was created for professional basketballer Danny Evans to support his new venture into elite basketball mentoring. The client decided on the name 'In & Out' as it represented the dynamism in the sport and is also the name of a technical basketball move. He requested a brand identity that would reflect this power and movement, and also become a trusted and instantly recognisable basketball brand over time.

For his final logo, the client chose to have the phrase 'In & Out' written using an interlocking 'N' and 'O' emblem to represent the direction and dynamism of basketball, and to also visualise the physical 'In & Out' move. We also settled on a tagline of 'Basketball | Mentoring' to simply capture the the service that the client provides.

The full logo is designed to be used on the client's website, business cards and official documentation and business materials. We also designed the interlocking 'N' and 'O' to be a standalone icon and act as a brand 'stamp' to be used across social media, content creation and, eventually, merchandise. This tied in with the client wanting their brand to become instantly recognisable over time - the brand stamp is what the audience will come to know and love, and instantly resemble the wider 'In & Out, Basketball | Mentoring' logo.
