Waffle House

When I thought about my fast food guilty pleasure, WAFFLE HOUSE is what came to mind; I’ve been going here since I was a little girl. Sometimes for breakfast, sometimes late at night.

So, when I started this process, I first designed the Waffle. My style is minimalistic and modern so that is the approach I took. After the Waffle was complete, I studied a few different fonts to see which one met the design style the most in terms of look and feel.

After I had both the Waffle and font I decided to play around with placement. When I thought about the experience of eating a waffle I decided that I wanted to portray the syrup. This is when I made the name “WAFFLE HOUSE” blend into the Waffle as one. Next, I studied different colors and accents and came to the conclusion that the simple black and white backgrounds were the way I wanted to go.

The final two compositions reflect the experience of WAFFLE HOUSE; no matter the time, WAFFLE HOUSE is open.
