Major Time / Minor Things

"Don't Spend Major Time on Minor Things"
This quote is from Jim Rohn and I heard it while watching a @thefuturishere and it really resonated with me.
Time is the most valuable resource we can have. It's also the one we can't get back no matter how hard we try. The idea of "minor things" is really interesting: it can either be a project that you're not passionate about or even doing things that are just a waste of time and don't bring you that much joy. In the beginning of my freelance career I accepted each and every project that came my way, no matter if I liked it or not.
Of course time is not the only important resource so nowadays I operate things differently: I try to find a balance between projects I love and projects I have to do.

How do you find the balance between doing things that you love and doing things that you have to do?
