I wanted to create something that would reflect medicine. Here I drew a Native doctor who is wearing a bracelet made up of "evil eye"/protective eye beads which helps to protect him from bad energy. He has a stethoscope which he is using to listen to this woman's heart, but at the end of it there is an egg, which we use in purification ceremonies. I made my own swatch out of a linocut sunflower I made. And I made a braid pattern for their hair. I made most of this using the pen tool.
