Developing Personal Branding for others has become a thing I thoroughly enjoy. There is a lot of pressure to get the person's story told in such a small space, but learning a person's story, why they tick, and what they are passionate about - even their setbacks- has been something I've always found gives me energy and inspiration when I am creating.

This is actually a logo I did a couple years ago, but I was in the mood for sharing... and it's not every day that you get to collab with a good friend on their personal branding.

This branding design has some deep personal concepts wrapped into it...
Kaitlyn grew up learning about the earth/nature and has a deep connection to it. Her father was a Geologist so she was taught all about the makeup of the earth and minerals that make up our existence.
In addition, she has found a deep emotional, physiological, and psychological healing through being in nature. She incorporates these connections in her work a lot.

I've always been a little obsessed with maps, so I couldn't wait to dive in.I already knew that I wanted to incorporate some reference to a topographic map. And then as the project unfolded Kaitlyn asked me if there was some way we could include the geology aspect and possibly a lavender color. My mind then jumped to the cross section of an Amethyst stone- not only is a beautiful purple color, but the layers of the Amethyst resemble lines on a topographic map where a mountain or elevation is represented.

So after a couple of revisions, this is the final brand look.
