The shop's owner, Meg, wanted various apparel illustrations that reflected her own personal style and complimented the @madpattihatco brand. The business's tagline of “Guilty of Murdering Time” is a nod to the time it takes to make hats the old fashioned way, which is what Meg specializes in. To bring this tagline to life, I included elements of broken clocks and nods to the spiral eye from Alice in Wonderland which represents “going mad” and the illusion of time (infinity). We also replaced Meg’s glasses with monocles and included a vintage frame in one of the illustrations to give them that old-timey artisan feel that Meg is so fond of.
