Different parts of the world have wide ranging stay-at-home orders. Both WHO and CDC strongly recommend wearing masks in public spaces to reduce COVID-19 spread.

In my opinion, face masks are no guaranteed 'silver bullet' though wearing it means altruistic act to protect everyone around you (besides yourself). Mask wearing prevents someone who is infected from emitting virus into the air; and it better protects other people from inhaling the contaminated air.
