More Hills to Climb

You know that moment when, as a kid/teen, you have to come-to-grips with that fact that your parents are imperfect humans who have made many mistakes but that it is still ok to love them all the same? I’m feeling that way about my country this weekend. I am thrilled to be able to unashamedly face so many sad truths about my country, for by facing them I can start to change them. We have made progress but the work is far from over. I will work hard to make tomorrow look different than today but for now, Happy 4th. I pray you all can get some quality time this weekend, full of unity and joy.
