Washington Post: Feed & Protect Our Elders
An illustration I created for the Washington Post in which I was also interviewed for the article: "In art and words, nine illustrators from across the country grapple with 100,000 lives lost to covid-19"
Here in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the Native community is coming together to protect our elders from the coronavirus by serving them healthy meals that feature indigenous foods such as corn, squash and beans (known traditionally as the Three Sisters in many of our cultures). Food is medicine.
