This is a first concept of the chat screen I did about 3 months ago.
As you can see, there's no top nav bar at all. There is one to one chat and also a multi chat option - group chat. That's why there are different sizes of the avatar on the group chat.
If there're 2 person + you, you can see a "diagonal" shapes of the avatars (Sarah, James).
3 persons + you, "triangle" shape of the avatars (Robin, James, Dan) and if there're more than 5 + you, you will see 3 of them and the last circle shape will shows the number of the people in the chat room..
This is a first WIP of a coming chat app that I'm working on.. More screens are on the way.
