Sneak peak of what I've been working on lately.

Even though it's just a work in progress shot and needs some refinements, I highly appreciate feedback. Also I am doing this for practice and to get a better understanding of iOS 7.

Make sure to check out the @2x version.

I like the use of circles to designate categories and presumably read/unread status. I don't think I've seen it anywhere else before.

I wonder what using solid circles for the tags would look like.

    Thanks for your comment, @ziyad.

The reason why I picked strokes for the circles for the tags rather than solid circles, is to differentiate them visually from the the unread solid circle -- to put it simple: to avoid confusion on the users side.

  5. I continued working on this as a small side project and I really like the direction it's going even though it'll never be developed.

    Some infos:

I'm still not really satisfied with the icons and will probably refine them later. The gestures and interactions aren't really specified yet.
The blurred background is based on the user's avatar. If there is no avatar, it'll change to a default one.

    Feedback is much appreciated!

I also put this project on LayerVault and made it public. So make sure to check it out: https://layervault.com/pxlpk/iOS%20Mail%20App

(I did the UI in Sketch. :))
