Heat Map App for Grocery Stores

With the spread of the novel Coronavirus, the things we used to enjoy have rapidly turned into real challenges. Taking care of essential grocery shopping is one of these things.

The question “Where to shop?” now depends on multiple factors: the proximity of the place, the crowdedness of the establishment, the supply the shop has.

This app concept I’ve been working on aims to help people with their decisions around this activity. It shows users how busy their nearby supermarkets are so they can pick the right store or the right time to go shopping and avoid crowds. It also shows how stacked the stores are - which items they have on stock. And last but not least, the app has a social side too as users can skim through the updates others have left about the store and post helpful insights for those who are yet to undertake this challenge.
