Things that kill passion, energy and trust

Rigid thinking
Control
Perfectionism
Structured plans
Your own hype
Anxiety
Overwork
Assumptions
Lack of breathing space
Micro management

Our leadership needs to be intentional. Knowledge or being merely the expert isn’t enough. It starts with how we lead ourselves.

Have you had a terrible boss / client?
What’s really p*ssed you off in the past?

Turn it on it’s head - rather than just ignore or avoid that situation. One of the things I deeply love about my faith (and find equally tough!) - is being challenged to work in the opposite spirit.

If someone is interacting with me in any of the ways mentioned above - how would I treat them in return or model a different way of working towards others? Being the opposite is powerful and unoffended.

It might even change a work culture.
