Mario Easter Eggs

I finally decided to upgrade from the classic dyed Easter eggs this year. Had some free time at the end of the week and wanted to give myself a little project.

These guys involved carefully poking pinholes in each side of the egg, making the holes bigger with an X-Acto knife, blowing out the insides of the eggs, cleaning them out, and then just going crazy with acrylic paint and finishing them off with pen & ink.

It was a really fun project with endless possibilities that I hope to have time to do every year. Reminded me a lot of doing pumpkins at Halloween with the prep-time involved.

Happy Easter!
