Construction Materials CRM UX Design

About this Service

The displayed price and timeline are indicative, based on our experience with comparable projects. We discuss the scope, final cost and delivery schedule for each project individually.

UITOP designs CRM software for teams serving concrete, asphalt and aggregate producers. We help product teams connect the information behind materials sales: a company, its projects, associated bids, activity and the figures people use to decide what needs attention.

The starting engagement focuses on one connected workflow in your existing product or prototype. We review the records, sales process, user roles and data your team already has. Then we design how someone moves through that workflow on the agreed web or mobile surface.

When This Service Fits

  • Sales teams open a company record, but its active projects and bid context are difficult to find.

  • Project stages live in one view while follow-ups and customer communication live elsewhere.

  • A dashboard shows bids, quantities or margins, but users cannot identify the underlying record or period.

  • Your product serves people in the office and in the field, and the same project context needs to work on their primary devices.

  • You have a working CRM or internal tool that needs a focused UX redesign before the next development phase.

What Your Team Receives

  • Review of the selected CRM workflow, available screens, sample records and product rules.

  • A map of the relevant company, project, bid and activity relationships.

  • UX/UI designs for the agreed record views, project stage and follow-up actions.

  • Display rules for the selected quantities, bid information and margin figures your system provides.

  • The relevant loading, missing-data, permission and changed-status states.

  • Responsive layouts for the surface and role agreed in the scope.

  • Reusable components for records, filters, statuses and actions in this workflow.

  • A clickable or functional prototype, interaction notes and a walkthrough with product and engineering.

We define the selected users, screens, records and scenarios together. Additional CRM modules, pricing calculations, dispatch systems and production workflows can be scoped as separate work.

Connect Accounts, Projects and Bids

For a materials producer, a customer account may be associated with several active projects and commercial discussions. We define how users reach the right project from the company record and see the bid details relevant to their next action.

We also map what a project stage means in your product, which roles can change it and how an update appears in the surrounding workflow. If the same account has several projects, the interface should preserve that distinction as users move between a company overview, a project and its activity history.

Make Commercial Figures Traceable

Estimated material volume, bid totals and margin figures need clear labels and context. We work with your team to define the unit, period, source and calculation owner for each figure included in the selected view. A dashboard summary should lead to the records behind it when those records are available in the product.

If a value is missing, stale or restricted for a role, the interface needs a defined display state. Your commercial and engineering teams remain responsible for pricing rules and calculations; our design shows the values and conditions they specify.

Keep Follow-Up in the Project Context

A sales representative may need to check the latest contact, open an attachment or prepare a follow-up while looking at a project. We design the selected activity and communication views so users can identify the related company and project, understand what has happened and find the next permitted action.

If email, files or a quote workflow already belong to your platform, we account for the states your system supports. We document where an action depends on an existing integration or a product decision still to be made.

Work Within Your Product Process

We start with your current CRM, sample records, terminology and product constraints. Product, sales and engineering stakeholders help verify the account relationships, stage meanings and data labels. We review the chosen workflow with realistic examples before finalizing the screens and behavior notes.

Our designer can work directly in your current prototype, create a functional artifact in Claude or another agreed tool, or prepare Figma files. We adapt the handoff to the development process your team uses. If the prototype uses sample records or simulated behavior, we identify that in the review.

Relevant UITOP Work

UITOP redesigned SLABSTACK, a CRM for concrete, asphalt and aggregate producers. The published case covers company and project views, a project Kanban, bids and margin reporting, activity, a dashboard, email views and a reusable component library. The work addressed how producers navigate a dense sales and operational product across screen sizes.

That case gives us practical design context for this category. Each new CRM has its own records, roles, commercial rules and technical constraints. We use your product's actual information to define the next design phase.

Review the Workflow Together

We walk through representative account and project scenarios with your team. The review checks whether a user can locate the right bid, interpret its figures, recognize the project state and find the related follow-up. We also record decisions that need confirmation from your product or engineering team before implementation.
