About this Service
UITOP designs and develops custom logistics software for shipment tracking, warehouse coordination and operational reporting. We work with logistics businesses and product teams that need their software to connect daily tasks with the records and systems behind them.
An engagement can cover a new web application, a connected operational module or improvements to an existing product. Our team works across product design, frontend and backend development, data modeling and QA.
When This Fits
Shipment updates and warehouse information sit in separate systems, making it difficult to establish the current state of an order.
Operators need to search large datasets, inspect an exception and take the next action in the same workflow.
Your business needs a custom module around a process that its current software handles poorly.
An existing logistics product needs changes across the interface, APIs and underlying data.
Your product team needs design and engineering to work through the same operational requirements.
What You Get
Operational workflow review and an agreed first-phase scope.
User roles, record relationships and workflow rules.
UX/UI design for the selected screens and interaction states.
Frontend and backend implementation of the agreed workflow.
Database changes and API connections included in the scope.
Reusable interface components and documented behavior.
Functional checks, integration testing and performance checks against agreed requirements.
Source code, setup documentation and a release handover.
The first phase focuses on one connected workflow. We agree its users, data sources, dependencies and acceptance criteria before development starts.
Shipment Information People Can Act On
A shipment workspace needs to explain the current status, the information behind it and the next available action. We define what each status means, which source supplies it and how users recognize an update that is delayed or missing.
Search, filters and record details follow the questions operators need to answer during their work. An exception view can keep the affected shipment, its last update and the responsible person together, with actions based on the agreed business rules.
Connecting Shipment and Warehouse Context
We map the relationships between shipments, orders, products and storage locations where they belong to the selected workflow. The interface and backend use the same record definitions, so a warehouse reference or inventory status has a consistent meaning across the product.
For multi-location operations, the design can show a summary first and expose the relevant location detail when someone needs it. The underlying queries and data-loading behavior support that interaction.
Integrations and Changing Data
Before committing an integration to the phase, we review the available API, required access, record identifiers and update frequency. We define what happens when data arrives late, a request fails or the source returns an incomplete record.
The implementation connects those conditions to visible product states and appropriate recovery actions. Your team can review which information comes from the connected system and which changes users make inside the application.
Working With Your Existing Product
If you already have a platform, prototype or development team, we start by reviewing that work. We assess the codebase, current components, integrations and release process before defining the changes.
Our designers work in the format your team uses. That may involve the current prototype, a functional reference in an agreed tool or Figma specifications. Designers and engineers review the same scenarios as the implementation develops.
For a live product, we identify the affected workflows and plan regression checks around them. We agree any data migration and rollout requirements before they become part of the delivery scope.
Relevant UITOP Experience
UITOP designed and developed LogiCore, a logistics and warehouse platform connecting shipment tracking, warehouse locations and multi-location inventory.
Our engineering work included server-side pagination and row virtualization for shipment tables, periodic API updates for shipment states, lazy loading of warehouse and SKU details, and database-side calculations for operational metrics. Product design, project management, development and QA contributed to the delivery.
UITOP also works on Activate OS, an existing construction fleet-management product. That engagement includes interface redesign, modular React architecture, integrations and continued product releases.
Development and Delivery
We review working software with your team at agreed milestones. Checks cover the selected user scenarios, permissions, saved records, integration behavior and relevant failure states. We also verify the agreed data volumes and response requirements.
Your team receives the source code and documentation needed to run and continue the work. Before release, we confirm the deployment environment, remaining dependencies and responsibility for ongoing support.
Our case-backed development stack is React, TypeScript, Node.js, Express and PostgreSQL. For an existing product, we review its technical environment and agree the implementation approach with your engineers.
Starting Scope
Final scope depends on the workflow, user roles, integrations, data quality and current technical environment. The timeline begins after we agree the scope and receive the required access and inputs. Additional modules, extensive migration and specialized tracking infrastructure receive separate estimates.
