About the role

This is about more than just making a product that looks nice and works well.

Our product lets people build their own apps.

That means that as well as creating a product that's intuitive and easy to use, we need to make sure that the apps our users build are beautiful and well designed.

That means that as well as designing the interfaces in our app builder really well, we also need to create a design system that's flexible enough to encompass all the interfaces that our users are creating, and make sure that they're excellent, regardless of their level of design literacy.

That means that design is key to our success.

This is a big challenge, but one we're really excited about.

About You

You should have a strong aesthetic, and especially experience building complex, data-powered products.

You should feel comfortable creating visual designs, working in design systems, and also thinking about product from a much higher level.

Europe Only

This is a remote role but we are only hiring within Europe. This is to enable timezone alignment and occasional (2-3 times a year) physical meet-ups in the future. If you aren't living in Europe, please do not apply. And, as always: no recruiters!!

We're building an app runtime that lets you specify an entire app in a bunch of JSON config and have it run as a real-time single page app.

We're taking the features common across all business systems and turning them into installable modules that work seamlessly together.

We're trying to not only create one product that is intuitive and beautiful, but flexibility to allow our users to build apps that are beautiful by default and are customisable to the finest level.

And that's all before breakfast. 💪

Come And Work From Wherever You Are

We have always been a remote team. Not corona-remote, but remote by choice. We get together (when safe) a few times a year but apart from that, we do all our work remotely, via Stacker, Slack, Notion, and Zoom. We like it that way.
