Senior Graphic Designer

Our Senior Graphic Designer will oversee their own creative, and mentor Junior creatives, to guarantee work meets the high standards our clients expect. Our Senior Graphic Designer works closely with our Creative Director, and Directors of Operations, Web and Marketing to coordinate and strategize multi-phased projects.

Must-Haves

  • Willing to work on-site, in our studio in downtown Towson, MD
  • Self-motivated and independent, but enjoys being part of a collaborative environment
  • Ability to nimbly and positively react to tight deadlines and changing priorities
  • 3-5+ years of agency experience with the killer professional portfolio to back it up (sorry, no new graduates)
  • Ability to understand and design dynamic, polished web experiences and the work to prove it
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Expert knowledge of the Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD) and Sketch
  • Passion for composition, hierarchy, and visual storytelling through design
  • Understanding of and appreciation for typography, and how to use it effectively
  • Experience with both print and digital design media and how to intersect the two
  • Passion to learn and succeed
  • Ability to take well to constructive criticism (Duckpin is an ego-free zone)
  • Attention to detail along with the ability to manage and art direct one’s self
  • Ability to brainstorm and concept unique ideas for a digital-first world

Nice-to-Haves

  • Illustration or hand lettering skills
  • Photography or photo retouching experience
  • Creative and/or brand writing experience
  • Animation, motion graphic, or video skills
  • Experience with UI/UX
  • Basic understanding of web development
  • Understanding of digital and/or social marketing campaigns
