UX Designer

Your UX skills will take our annotation platform to the next level, giving Promaton the best high quality data set in the world, enabling our AI to be the best in the market.

Promaton is changing dental healthcare by automating diagnostics and treatment workflows using AI, making healthcare more affordable and accessible for everyone. Did you know dentists miss up to 30% of pathologies on an X-Ray? We are on a mission to eliminate errors in dentistry by improving diagnostic accuracy, and automating mundane work like creating 3D models by hand from an X-Ray. See our company page to learn more about what we do.

Our AI algorithm learn by looking at X-Rays that are annotated by our community of dental professionals. We developed an in-house tool called Segdent, which is used by our community across the globe to annotate X-Rays. These can be 2D and 3D X-Rays. Segdent is a fully fledged platform with advanced editing tools, a payment system and review flows.

We are looking for a contractor that is available (on average) for 16 hours a week for at least three to six months.

You'll be:

  • Improving the UX of our annotation platform, so our community can annotate faster, happier, and more accurately.
  • Creating prototypes and going out into our community to validate assumptions and test designs early
  • Analysing our internal metrics to understand bottle necks and validate shipped changes
  • Working together with our development team, to build innovative 2D and 3D annotation workflows
  • Steering the backlog together with data annotation project manager, our clinical manager (for quality), and our developers that build the products
  • As the sole designer of the company, we'll also ask you to help us with other design from time to time, like designing demo applications that let our products shine; developing a design system; or creating interactive wireframes for AI product concepts

The perks:

  • 🏡 Freedom to work from anywhere you like (and any time you like). We only have a few touch points.
  • 🚀 Work with the latest technology, on the front-end of a rapidly changing field in medicine and AI
  • 👩‍🏫 Work on a tool with many unique design challenges (Advanced annotation tools, 3D views, complex reviewing workflows)
  • 💪 Loads of responsibility and autonomy, zero bureaucracy and a chance to make a real impact
  • 🏖 Awesome yearly company retreat, and quarterly team events

Our checklist

  • At least three years of experience with designing desktop tools
  • Proficient in your design tool of choice (Figma or Sketch. Protopie or Principle)
  • You are a contractor, available on average 16 hours a week, living in the EU (Central European Summer Time plus or minus one hour)

Bonus points:

  • Passion for machine learning
  • Previous experience in a (medical) regulated environment
  • Able to transform designs into React components

Sounds like you? Let's talk!
