UX Designer

POSITION SUMMARY

White River Marine Group is looking for a UX Designer with strong experience to join the Creative Web Team. In this role, you will serve as the visual authority, innovating and solving complex problems of a multi-faceted organization. Our vast range of products vary from customer facing to internal tools for numerous boating, off-road and store brands including Bass Pro Shops, Cabela’s, Tracker, Ranger and Nitro to name a few. The Creative Web Team is a multi-disciplinary group of designers, technical writers and front-end developers who collaborate closely together with product managers and engineers to deliver usable, great-looking products. As the UX Designer, you’ll help facilitate and run usability studies, analyze user behavior statistics, facilitate design sessions with team members and present design solutions through flowcharts, wireframes and hi-fi interactive prototypes. You will help drive the vision of user-centered design as they execute recommendations to deliver solutions that meet the business objectives and the needs of the user.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

·        Develop scenarios, task flows, wireframes, and mockups to effectively conceptualize and communicate detailed interaction behaviors and high-level design strategies for all devices. 30%

·        Manage a dynamic workload to balance priorities with deadlines to effectively meet project needs.5%

·        Develop and maintain detailed user interface specifications and documentation across enterprise business units.30%

·        Develop and maintain user experience design standards, personas, scenarios and user testing protocols.10%

·        Provides input on user centered design processes and implementation of processes.10%

·        Monitors user experience changes across competitors and other leaders in digital commerce to ensure we maintain an innovative user experience which keeps pace with customer expectations across enterprise business units.15%

·        ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED


EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

·        Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor’s Degree or related design work experience required. 

·        Experience:  0 – 2 YEARS 


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:

·        Experience designing user interfaces for mobile and tablet devices

·        Experience using design and prototyping tools such as XD, Sketch or Axure

·        Working knowledge of web design including HTML and CSS

·        Able to provide samples of work demonstrating experience applying user-centered design principles

·        Function effectively as an integral part of a dynamic cross-functional team

·        Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate in a courteous and professional manner


TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:  

·        10% Regional and National as needed
