Creative Frontend Engineer
We’re looking for a frontend developer who lives and breathes design — someone who can bring interfaces to life with polish, precision, and personality. You’ll work closely with our designer to transform Figma files into pixel-perfect implementations and infuse our app with delightful micro-interactions, smooth animations, and dynamic UI behavior.
Our app is already functional and actively being built by our core frontend developer. What we’re missing is a creative frontend expert who can elevate the experience with attention to visual and motion detail — not just implementing UI, but crafting it.
⸻
What You’ll Do:
• Recreate high-fidelity Figma designs exactly using Next.js, Tailwind CSS, and ShadCN component library.
• Build micro-interactions, hover states, transitions, and page animations that make the interface feel alive and responsive.
• Collaborate with our Creative Director + Designer when necessary and product team to ensure brand consistency and polish across the app.
• Contribute to or lead implementation of 3D or immersive web experiences (e.g., via React Three Fiber or similar), if applicable.
• Own the look and feel of the app and sweat the small stuff — font smoothing, layout spacing, animation timing — all the things that turn “good” into “wow.”
• Work in tandem with the main frontend developer to separate style/aesthetic tasks from functionality/infrastructure work.
⸻
What We’re Looking For:
• Proven experience implementing pixel-perfect designs from Figma or similar.
• Strong knowledge of CSS/Tailwind, Javascript, layout systems, and responsive design.
• Deep comfort working with animations: page transitions, button interactions, drag/drop, easing curves, etc.
• Familiarity with GSAP, Lottie, or similar JS web animation libraries.
• Experience with ShadCN UI components and extending them when needed.
• Bonus: Experience with 3D rendering on the web (React Three Fiber, Three.js, or WebGL).
⸻
You Might Be a Fit If You:
• Love sweating the details — spacing, timing, consistency, delight.
• See the frontend as an art form, not just a technical challenge.
• Have an eye for composition and layout
• Are self-directed but collaborative, comfortable giving and receiving feedback.
⸻
If you’ve ever built something that made someone smile just from using it, we want to see it. Show us your Codepens, your animations, your personal projects, your portfolio sites. This is a role where aesthetic taste and implementation precision matter just as much as technical ability.
