Compensation: $130K-$180K + 0.5-1% equity

The Role:
We are seeking a visionary Founding Product Designer who can think outside the box, design cutting-edge, forward-thinking experiences, and bring a "touch of magic" to every interaction. You will work closely with the founding team, including our CEO/CTO, who has a proven track record of launching four successful #1 social apps like Gas, Poparazzi, NGL, and Monkey.
This is an opportunity to shape the future of a product that prioritizes connection and kindness over everything else, helping to create a user experience that drives engagement, fosters genuine interaction, and stands out in the market.
What You’ll Do:
Lead the design vision for our iOS app, creating unique, engaging experiences with a focus on animations and outside-the-box solutions.
Collaborate with the founding team to define the product roadmap, shaping a forward-thinking design language that feels fresh, interactive, and magical.
Build user-friendly and aesthetically stunning interfaces while maintaining optimal usability and accessibility standards.
Create rapid prototypes and wireframes, testing design hypotheses with users and incorporating feedback to iterate on designs.
Work closely with engineers to ensure seamless integration between design and development, especially in key areas like animations, transitions, and user interactions.
Develop design systems and guidelines to maintain a consistent, high-quality experience as we scale.
Ideal Candidate:
Proven experience as a product designer with a strong portfolio, ideally having designed or built a social app that has grown virally.
A forward-thinking, creative mindset, with a passion for designing interactions and animations that captivate and inspire users.
Strong ability to work autonomously and take ownership of design initiatives from concept to execution.
Startup experience is highly desirable, particularly in high-growth environments.
A passion for fostering social connections and a deep belief in Chance's mission to strengthen genuine human interaction through design.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a desire to be part of a small, close-knit, mission-driven team.
Bonus Points:
Experience working in a cross-functional team with engineers and product managers to create world-class experiences.
Knowledge of motion design or animation tools and the ability to incorporate movement into your designs.
Experience working with design systems and contributing to their development and implementation.
