CPG GRAPHIC DESIGNER

THE POSITION

Are you a Graphic Designer extraordinaire looking to make a powerful impact with your creative skills? Look no further! Essential Oxygen, a beloved, triple bottom line, certified B Corp, natural CPG brand is excited to find a talented GRAPHIC DESIGN LEAD to join our team. You will be a key player in our marketing and creative team, shaping our brand identity and ensuring our products stand out on the shelves and online. Your creative flair will be integral in translating our mission into stunning visual concepts. This is a part-time position with potential to become full-time.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Graphic Designer will be responsible for conceptualizing, creating, and updating packaging, print material and digital assets. 

  • Design and illustrate graphics, layouts, logos, across multiple applications: promotional material, packaging, social/web graphics, e-blasts, digital and print advertising, POS, sales support, trade show materials as well as B2B or B2C presentations, templates, etc.

  • You will lead and collaborate on numerous creative projects from brief to concept and through production/print-ready artwork.

  • Support the design and production of digital assets: Compose highly organized, detailed and accurate mechanicals for all final goods.

  • Finalize and deliver clean production design files for all request types.

  • Translate and utilize the brand style guide as a north star in all creative and execute performance assets.

  • Refine processes to increase productivity and accuracy of execution.

  • Manage our team production artist.

  • All other duties as assigned.

MANDATORY SKILL

  • Experience in digital and print design

  • High proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign

  • High proficiency in Canva and Adobe Express for the creation on social media assets

  • Strong typography and hierarchy skills

  • Deep understanding of our brand, its audiences to create and implement graphic design strategies to appeal to target consumers

  • Creative with strong design and style sensibilities and versed in current graphic trends

  • Detail oriented, meticulous, and excellent proofreading ability

Adaptability: Comfortable taking direction and working within a team but can also work with minimal direction to complete projects

  • Organized and flexible: can prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously and pivot readily as business needs shift

  • Proactive about obstacles and accountable for results

  • Creative and effective problem-solving

  • Strong verbal and communication Collaborate with cross-functional teams to brainstorm and develop innovative design solutions

  • Rendering expertise

  • Photography skills

  • Working knowledge of AI

  • Work experience with similar CPG brands

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be based in the U.S.

Must be available for meetings as needed between 9am - 5pm PST

COMPENSATION

Full Time: $35-45/hour DOE

Freelance: DOE
