The Role

We believe that small, collaborative, and cross-functional teams are best equipped to achieve the most optimal project outcomes. Within these teams, Experience Designers create solutions that deliver on the objectives of our clients and the agency.

As a Senior Experience Designer, you’ll lead the research and strategy of digital experiences, products, and services. You’ll collaborate with product designers, strategists, copywriters, and engineers, to produce a range of deliverables that bring our work into clarity. This includes rough sketches to process flows, mockups to prototypes. In this role, you’ll combine deep experience in UX, design, and brand, with a comprehensive understanding of business models and structures. You’ll write project briefs, plan and facilitate workshops, conduct concepting sprints, and lead presentations. Under your direction, projects will be guided to an exceptional level of thoughtfulness and innovation, seeking ways to challenge the status quo. Through strong collaboration, you’ll establish yourself as a trusted partner to your team, and to our clients.

Ideal candidates will have experience working in an agency or consultancy environment, utilizing design thinking methods. You will take an active and inquisitive approach, helping project teams deliver on objectives and outcomes, setting a high bar, and enabling exceptional results.

What You'll Do

  • Develop a clear understanding of our clients, their business, and objectives

  • Work with our clients to develop project briefs

  • Lead user and market research from planning through analysis of findings using both in-house capabilities and research partners

  • Lead concepting, ideation, and the planning of digital experiences, striking a balance between established paradigms and innovative approaches

  • Lead the development and presentation of personas, user journeys, user flows, wireframes, and prototypes

  • Play an active role in client pitches, presentations, and lunch and learns

  • Plan, lead, and facilitate stakeholder interviews, customer interviews, and co-creation workshops

  • Guide the team in taking an exploratory approach, considering the full range of opportunities across content, interaction, and third party technologies

  • Help develop and manage product roadmaps and scope definition balancing feasibility, viability, desirability, and what is possible within time and budget constraints

  • Mentor your colleagues, creating a shared understanding of what good looks like, and a positive environment for individual growth

What You'll Bring

  • 5+ years experience leading strategy engagements within an agency or consultancy environment

  • A strong portfolio demonstrating your skill, craft, thinking, and expertise

  • Clear communication skills; ability to listen, present, negotiate, and guide internal and external communications

  • Confident leading executive-level client engagement including one on one interviews, presentations, and workshop facilitation

  • Experience leading qualitative and quantitative research and analysis

  • Experience working with UI patterns, grids, and design systems

  • Familiarity with business models and value cases, digital ecosystems, and technologies with a focus on web, mobile, e-commerce, and digital in-store

  • Knowledge of usability, accessibility, SEO, analytics, and A/B testing

  • Able to build trust through exceptional management skills, guiding internal and external communications with executive-level stakeholders

This role is open to Vancouver-based applicants (hybrid) or Remote in Canada or the USA. International applicants will not be considered at this time.
