We’re looking for a superstar, design wizard extraordinaire to come be our second full-time Product Designer at Rupa, reporting straight into our Head of Design.

At Rupa, we’re on a mission to bring root-cause medicine to every person on the planet (more about this below). We do this by building software products for healthcare practitioners and their patients to enable people get to the root-cause of health conditions - specifically through advanced specialty lab testing.

We’re a design-centric company, and are looking for an experienced Product Designer who is obsessed with beautiful experiences and health to come be the product designer across both our product pods. This is a high visibility and high responsibility role, and an opportunity to work on a meaningful purpose with great people 💙

The Role! ⭐️

The day to day 🏃‍♂️

• We’re looking for a Product Designer to lead design across our 2 product pods to build features and experiences for practitioners and patients. This person will be vital in up-leveling our UX and making sure Rupa continues to be user-friendly and delightful

  • Examples of recent features we built 😍🚢

    • A human & understandable version of blood reports, showing optimal ranges for each biomarker based on a patient’s age and gender

    • A way for practitioners to create blood panels and see the best prices possible from our different lab partners (think: Google Flights for lab testing!)

    • An “uber for blood draw” experience where patients can buy and book mobile blood draws straight through Rupa

• You’ll be a co-captain to engineering and product counterparts

• You’ll spend time with customers getting feedback

• The North Star for this role is “Ensure Rupa’s product is 11/10 user-friendly”

• This role reports to Jordan, Rupa’s first employee and our Head of Design

• This is a hybrid role, we’re looking for someone with the ability to work 3 days a week in person in SF

• You’re proficient in Figma, user research, visual design and have strong product sense

• You’re obsessive about creating the most magical user experience - from detailed pixels, to copy, to the entire user journey

• You’re a strong self-starter with intensity, drive, and hunger, ready for an early-stage startup

• You’re an A+ design thinker and believe in outcomes over process

• You’re able to work in person in San Francisco 3 days a week

• You’re passionate about helping people live healthier and happier lives 💙
